Just passed my entrance exam at the university, tested out of remedial math by one point and well into English 110 "Intro to College Writing". It's such a relief to not have to take any remedial math courses, that idea always sounded like a punishment to me. Math and I have a long and hateful history together. Now I need to get a money order, print a form, fill it out, and send it back to my hometown to get my high school transcripts. Which places my admissions status to 'Pending'. Hopefully I'll be approved, then I can pick my classes.
My agenda looks like I'm off to the library to print my form, then to the gas station to purchase the money order and possibly a stamp. Drop my hopes and dreams in a mailbox and then play 'hurry up and wait' to hear from the university. In the meantime I'm looking for temp work so I can get into an apartment before the school year starts. Woodcrest studios on the farside of town looks like my best bet, it's super cheap and besides looking like a FLP house for paroles... seems much better than living at the homeless shelter. I really hope they have a place available, it's on the busline and rent is so cheap I can almost afford it on my plasma money alone.
Glad I feel like the ball is finally rolling.
