No Degrees of Seperation and Ginger Unity

                                                                                                                        July 30th, 2012

Went to Subway yesterday with Katie, I had a footlong Spicy Italian on Honey Oat, she had a footlong Spicy Italian on Flatbread.

"How old are you again?" I asked over my sandwich.

"I'm twenty-one" she replied.

I sighed.

"You're so young." I said emphatically.

"I'm not young." She replied curtly.

I like hanging out with Katie, even more so because she's a ginger. Katie has short red hair and wears it in a 'fauxhawk'. she has blue eyes with a tinge of gold in them and a pale milky complexion hidden beneath a light tan. Katie is an artist,  she draws, sketches, and told me she'd like to do tattoos someday. She is far from normal and often makes an expression I call 'Cookie'. Katie's friend Emily is close friends with my friend Al. Al is one of Richards roommates... talk about no degree's of separation.

Ally came back from the deep south today but only to visit. Her shoulder surgery went well but she won't be climbing any mountains again for at least eaighteen months.

"It's good though, this way I can learn to climb and when you're able again we can plan a trip or something."

Ally smiled.

Ally is a nursing student, she too is also a ginger. She has very pale skin dappled in freckles an endearing overbite, large blue eyes and glossy carrot colored hair hanging just past the shoulder with a slight natural curl to it. She is broad shouldered with well developed arms, probably from all her time on the rockwall.

Ally was planning on going to school here in the fall but her mother recently hit bottom and they are in the process of repairing their relationship as mother and daughter. Ally was sitting on my right and Katie on my left when another redhead named Dan stopped near us.

"Ginger unity!" he proclaimed, giving each of us a high five.
