"We appreciate your interest.... blah blah blah, unfortunately blah blah blah, we encourage you to become a transfer student blah."
Paraphrased rejection. I got angry and sad and frustrated briefly. I know highschool kids probably deserve it more academically, but I felt like I NEEDED it more. To get on with my life, to get somewhere, to get ahead. Unfortunately NEED isn't a factor with college application considerations. Now I'm stuck in the 'lightning' round in the fight for my future. I have to apply to the Technical College and hope there is still enough time to take another round of entrance exams and get my financial aid re-oriented. Hopefully they can get my transcripts and test scores from the University rather than having me jump through the same set of hoops all over again. It's a longshot I'll admit but I still haven't heard word one on the 30 or so job applications I've submitted in the past month.
